Roasted Squab, Osso Buco, Steak au Poivre, Wild Boar Ragout. Tasting notes often name-check these sorts of dishes when making pairing suggestions. But honestly, how often does anyone really eat that stuff? Not very.
Wouldn’t it be great to find a wine you can drink with . . . anything? A wine like our Sparkling Red, which has the magical ability to pair with everything from pizza to pasta, chili to cheeseburgers, BBQ to BLT. You’d have to go out of your way to find a pairing that doesn’t work. (Which, of course, we did. Hence, the name “Moment of Weakness.”)
On the nose, find Damson plums, boysenberry and cardamon. The boysenberry unfurls into ribbons of blackberry and raspberry. The wine is somehow both creamy and zesty. It finishes dry, with orange peel and baking spice. How can something this mysterious and brooding be so lip-smacking and joyful? It’s all about the bubbles.
